A Soothing and Serene 4-Room Dover Road Resale Apartment

This 4-room resale apartment in Dover Road was given a refreshing makeover with an enormous amount of white and wood. The Vinyl flooring was installed in a brick pattern layout to keep the design simple and allow the wood grain pattern to stand out.

When you enter the home, you will be greeted with a kitchen peninsular with a curve edge. What used to be a closed kitchen, is now open with the removal of the walls. The kitchen peninsular not only works as an additional worktop space but also provide additional storage for the homeowners. We were also able to tuck a dishwasher under the kitchen peninsular.

In the dining area, we added a low cabinet to serve as pantry space. To make the design interesting, we included an arched niche to provide the homeowners with a space to style and display decorative pieces. There were also LED lights that has a nice ambience glow during the night.

The kitchen in this unit is very intimate. To maximise the storage space, we wrapped the kitchen with a lower cabinet and a partial upper cabinet. The Shaker’s style cabinet adds visual interest while the gold knobs impart a classy finish to the kitchen. We also used white carpentry to keep the kitchen bright and appear more spacious. We also used the same vinyl tiles here to create a nice flow from the living to the dining and then the kitchen.

The living room was kept simple and neat with no TV feature wall and the homeowners went with a loose TV console that works extremely well with the space. Consistent with the minimalistic approach, a false ceiling was installed in the dining room that changes into L-Box for the living room.

The common bathroom was given the same colour palette of white and wood. The wet area was installed with timbre-like tiles which allow fuss-free maintenance. The off-white tiles throughout the rest of the bathroom keep the space bright and airy. The use of black accessories gives the bathroom a nice contrast and adds depth and dimension.

On the other hand, the more frequently used master bathroom has a customised mirror with additional storage space to keep clutters away. We find that the darker wooden carpentry goes well with this mostly cream, white toned bathroom. Textured tiles graced the shower area, creating a nice feature in the bathroom.

The master bedroom has a lot of wardrobe space flanking the front and side of the room. We were also able to include a chest of drawers for additional storage. Keeping the design consistent, the wardrobe was also done in Shaker’s style with brass hardware to mimic the kitchen cabinet.

This is the end of the feature for the 4-room HDB Resale apartment in Dover Crescent. We absolutely love how the entire home came together and created a cozy interior, perfect for our homeowners. Here is how the 3D images look during the proposal stage:
